Dalt Vila, the old town of the City of Ibiza. Under the walls, you will find Sa Peixateria d’Eivissa. The old llonja of the capital that underwent a transformation towards the market, and is currently in a state of abandonment. Without roof due to the start and stoppage of renovation works, the person in charge of transforming the heritage-listed building into a large multipurpose and open space is received.

Its morphology characterizes the building. An octagon of 9.70 meters on each side, enhances a large interior space of more than 400 m2, where numerous activities of the city of Ibiza can be accommodated.

The game of interior finishes is the roadmap of the project. Emphasizing the wooden structure of the roof, the sound absorbing materials to be able to include musical performances without causing discomfort to the environment.

The work of conserving the current façade, with the colours of the city’s historical environment, and the traditional roof, will provide the Sa Penya neighbourhood with a new cultural building that brings life and alternatives to a neighbourhood in sociocultural growth.

The intervention of the adjacent urbanization improves the infrastructures of the neighbors, the pavements and the single platform will provide Sa Peixateria with amplitude and an improvement of the participation for pedestrians.
